The fun of having grandchildren
is the reminder that we bought similar
silly gifts for our children
when they were young,
and believed in Santa Claus
and the Easter Bunny,
and Elmo and Big Bird,
and Bert and Ernie,
and Spider Man and Bat Man
and Superman,
and all was well with the world.
